Demolition South West operatives were first involved with marine salvage when requested to respond and deal with the MD Kodima cargo vessel in 2001. The vessel ran into difficulty during heavy weather, which resulted in the cargo, 4000 cubic metres of timber, being jettisoned from the vessel and washing up at Whitsand Bay, Cornwall.
Since then we have been part of several projects most notably the MSC Napoli Container Ship at Branscombe Beach in 2007. The project required substantial salvage & beach clean operations which lasted over 2 years in duration. Demolition South West has developed an enviable reputation for dealing with marine salvage operations rapidly and with excellent results - be assured that Demolition South West are ready to respond to any salvage operation, anytime, anywhere in the UK.
